Both are doing really well, as he is such a big foal he is only allowed to go out for an hour a day until he gets a bit stronger.

Ziggers recovered after 6 months !
Gail and Ziggers are finally back on track after Ziggers having a had a nasty kick resulting in a broken leg on xmas day. Gail brought Ziggers to our yard to recover and we are all delighted to see Ziggers full recovery, and a big smile for a well deserved Gail, who’s patience and loving attention has paid off.

What a brilliant competition day on the yard !
We had a busy Competition Saturday with Vicky and George coming 3rd at Hickstead in the elementary classes having not been to a show for over a year, well done Vicky, followed by Vanessa and Rob going out for the first time in ‘years’ and in a snaffle bridle and coming 2nd what an achievement ! Vanessa and Jo have been re training Rob to go back into a snaffle bridle having been in a Double Bridle for a long time, specifically working on making Rob more round, through and over the back. Jo also had a good day at Hickstead with Zaino M in the medium classes coming 4th and 6th.

Trip up to Addington Premier League !
We managed to get up to Addington yesterday to stay overnight to do the young horse classes with Brennus, we couldn’t stay all weekend as our parents are in Spain ! Brennus was very well behaved we went up the night before as it is a 2 1/2 hour journey and BB gets tired very easily. The first class was outdoors BB was a little spooky and tense but good, he came 3rd in the National with 80% and has qualified for Hickstead ! Different story in the second class the BYH International which was indoor and we thought BB did a much better test but he came 8th (last) with only 64.8 % ?????????????? There you go ! I posted this for you all to see we have good and bad and sometimes all in one day OR IS IT JUST FRIDAY 13 TH !!!!!!!!!

Boys are on form !
Zaino gets a 2nd and 66% at Oldencraig and BB wins the 5 Year Old with 82% and qualifies Shearwater final
Since Spain we have allowed the boys an easy few weeks to relax and started to pick them up again last week. Both horses have enjoyed the time in the fields, especially Zaino who has been turned out at night helping him to keep calm.

A lucky escape !
Remember when we were on our way to Spain and I said what we thought were police trying to pull us off the motorway at Madrid and we didn’t stop or follow them off the motorway. What a relief we didn’t as they were bandits posing as police. We have just heard that 9 people have been arrested in Madrid for pulling cars/lorries and robbing the occupants. So best advice is if the car does not show a police sign or blue light (green in spain) don’t follow them!
