Brennus B is now able to cover 30 mares per year.  This super horse has amazing talent and a perfect temperament   with first class breeding.  He has the blood of champions flowing through his veins.  His dam line Reine B is the fantastic Rubinstein mare who under Lotje Schoots worked her magic and brought several medals home for Holland.  2006 Team Gold Medal, 2007 Dutch National Champion, European Team Gold, Individual Silver Medallist, 2008 European Young Rider Gold Team Gold.  Not to mention the countless international wins this Dam accumulated.  Brennus B is sired by the champion stallion Diamond Hit who descends from none other that the Fairytale stallion, Donnerhall.

So pleased today with BB he has never been to Patchetts and due to weather and my 2 week holiday BB hasn’t had any schooling for a month.  He is such a lovely reliable horse was well impressed Linda Whetstone judge at C had him in 2nd place !  Made my day

We have been in training with Sarah Millis for the past few months and the difference in Zaino is remarkable he is so much more focused.  Sarah has given us the knowledge, confidence and her years of experience, skills and focus.  He is back at home for a week and we hacked out today with Vanessa and Rob who kindly escorted ! (thanks Ness) Zaino was much more confident dare I say (even grown up) !

Brennus B is just such a pleasure, even in the cold weather and youngsters turned out at the side of the school albeit he is fresh and sometimes has a little jump in the air he always manages to contain himself and look after me.  I love him so much.  We haven’t had the best prep for our regionals on wednesday but you know what ? Me and BB are just going to go and do our best !

We have now been in training with Sarah for 3 months working on Zaino confidence and strength, and today I could really feel the difference in him.  For sure we made a couple of mistakes which cost us dearly plus I made an error (oops) another 2 marks lost, but we mostly had 7’s all the way.  He was very well behaved and a lot more confident and I actually enjoyed the test !

BB got his final points needed with 66.76 at Step by Step yesterday.  Just one hiccup I went wrong in the test, but thankfully the test was good enough to reach the qualifying score despite the 2 marks deducted for (rider error) oops !

Zaino has been home now for 4 weeks and we have been continuing with our exercises set by Sarah, working on the basics as well as the lateral work. Particularly straightness, ensuring we ride off of the track and in straight lines across the diagonal this exercise helps identify when you are not straight quicker than riding around the track. Since Zaino has been at home he has been really good his behaviour has been excellent ! He really does feel like a different horse.
We are returning to Sarah’s today and really looking forward to progressing with our lateral work our aim to enter a PSG soon !
