We have been working hard at home Zaino achieved 10 one times changes we are so nearly there Grand Prix not too far away !!!  Brennus B almost at PSG he did a line of 4s and 3s changes just need to work on both boys strength and putting it altogether I love my horses soooo much and am very very proud of them.  Merry Xmas to everyone and here’s to an exciting new year 2013.

First time at Crofton Manor for us and it felt like riding in a hurricane with the wind and rain. He stayed focused despite the weather such a cool horse.

We had a good last Hickstead show 2012 with Zaino M PSG 65.79 % showing good confidence now needing to get a little stronger in the collection remembering he is only 8 years old.  Trainer Sarah Millis has done a great job in improving our confidence and keeping us both CALM !!! We will work hard throughout the winter ready for Int 1 and if we can get the one times changes established Int 2 and then onto Grand Prix wow ! How scary !  Sarah reminded me only 5 years ago I was still at Novice my aim was to reach Top Hat and Tails by my 40th which I achieved with Florestamber (Moni) I never dreamed I would then change the goal posts and want to ride and train at Grand Prix !!!

Brennus B had a good first medium although we had a little confusion in the walk pirouettes he was thinking piaffe and would have preferred to change instead of simple change !  But all good for the future, hope to Adv Medium soon.

I am so pleased with Zaino today we have been training hard with Sarah Millis and working towards the Grand Prix work training one times changes is so very very difficult one day they get it and then the next they don’t very frustrating.  But Zaino just keeps on trying I was a little worried today about doing the test as in training the one times changes Zaino likes to put them in, in the middle of the four times and three times changes as well, but not today, the test was mistake free ! So proud we have both been working really hard to achieve this!

Zaino and I have been based at Sarah Millis yard and in training for nearly a year and our confidence is growing !  We came 6th in the PSG at Merrist Wood on Saturday 63.82% with a few mistakes (all part of the training) and things we are working on, Zaino is very good at the lateral work and is showing great potential for the Grand Prix work we just need time now to improve on his strength !

Brennus B is extremely fertile confirmed today 3 mares in foal first attempt ! Florestamber (Florestan/Samber) Ella (Samarant/De Niro) and Darcy (Floriscount/Samarant) so we have three different lines to see what foals Brennus B produces.

We successfully collected from Brennus B this morning and inseminated Ella (Samarant/De Niro) and Darcy (Floriscount/Ella) scans in two weeks time so exciting!

Such a good boy, especially as he has been in AI Stallion training all week so I have not been able to ride him and he had a particularly difficult and long session yesterday I nearly didn’t go to the show as I was a little concerned about how he would behave and how sore he maybe.  But I troted him up this morning and he looked fine so I decided to give it go !

Yes he is just such an amazing little horse now a Licensed Stallion and available this year !  We were running a little late yesterday as I only had half an hour to get Zaino back home and collect Brennus, but he is just so reliable nothing bothers him his temperament is to die for.  I just pulled him out the lorry pouring with rain very windy quick 20 minute warm up and into the arena we go.  Just a couple of silly mistakes and 68.24% and a comment from the judge ‘very talented bundle of energy with soooo much ability !’  He really is a dream horse !

Zaino held it together in the PSG to score 62.5% and come third in the rain and wind and with horses galloping down the side of the arena.  We just need to work on his strength now to achieve the higher marks remembering that he is not even 8 year old until next month !  I am not only very proud of him but a big fan as he has always lacked confidence in himself.
